DEREK BRIN is a Multi-Platinum, Award-Winning Music Producer, Sound Editor & Mix Engineer with over a decade of experience in Post Production Sound. He runs his own private studio in Toronto mixing in 5.1 Surround Sound and Dolby ATMOS.

Brin founded Fierce Music Group Inc., based in Toronto, Los Angeles, and the Caribbean and he's also President and co-creator of iCaribbeanTunes, a portal where the film, television, and video game industries can license music from the Caribbean.
Before starting his own company, Brin spent 10 years as the Head of Audio Operations, In-house Composer and Sound Editor at Visual Productions, a film and television production company, based in Toronto and South Africa.
After spending many years performing in the Toronto music scene he started working in New York and Los Angeles with Hit songwriters like Diane Warren, Dan Hill, Jud Friedman (BodyGuard soundtrack) and Balewa Muhammad.
Brin was Dan Hillʼs personal engineer for 11 years and mixes singles for many artists and record labels around the world.
Derek has an extensive list of International hits and multi-platinum records under his belt. Brin has composed music for many television shows, won multiple awards, Produced #1 Billboard singles as well as many nominations for international awards. His involvement with hit songwriter Diane Warren and Guy Roche on the Soundtrack for the first Pokemon Movie still resonates today as we see people playing the Pokemon App around the world.
Born in Toronto, Derek grew up in a Caribbean household which gave exposure to all genres of music.
Aside from music, Derek studied engineering, electronics and acoustics and employs these talents by consulting, designing and building recording studios around the globe. Brin has been instrumental developing music programs and building recording facilities in Sierra Leone (West Africa), Trinidad, Barbados, St Thomas (US Virgin Islands), St Vincent, Toronto and many in the US.
In 2007, Brin signed an international publishing deal with Ole Music Publishing, in 2009, Brin was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Urban Music Association of Canada (UMAC) and continues to work with several of the industry's hottest artists, including Ne-Yo, Dan Hill, Jaheim, RuPaul, 2LK (Los Kabbiociles), Nneka, Kelly Price, Che'Nelle, Massari, Jane Zhang, Noel G, Dru, Keshia Chanté, Kristine W, Dream Warriors and Romanian superstars Andreea Balan, Keo and Puya.
He has setup and participated in multiple songwriting camps in the US, Canada and the Caribbean to bridge the gap for talent based in the Caribbean, developed artists and new talent that went on to get signed to record labels, and now developing projects from the Caribbean and Cuba to be released post Covid madness.
Derek is committed to discovering the creativity undiscovered artists possess and releasing them to the world.

Although based in Toronto, Derek prefers to work remotely so he travels often throughout the US and the Caribbean.
